The first time I saw you
I didn't know what to say
I was mesmorized by your smile
and I was lost in your eyes for days
I payed no attention at first
thinking maybe it was just a phase
These feelings cannot be real
and it will all pass in a few days
But the feelings didn't die
they only seemed to grow stronger
I tried hide these feelings I had
but then I could stand it no longer
I had to do something
for this pain was killing me inside
It distracted me from my work
and the thoughts kept me up at night
Finally I had made my choice
I would let you know just how I felt
I would deal with the consecuences
and just play the hand that I was delt
But what If I asked you out
and for some reason you said no
Was I prepared for this outcome
could I cope with this blow, I didn't know
The only thing I knew for sure
was that I loved you since I first saw you
And against my better judgement
I knew this was something I had to do
So I called you up one night
and asked you to meet me the next day
I couldn't sleep that night
practicing what I was going to say
When I saw you the next day
my heart skipped a beat
My thoughts became cluttered
and my knees became weak
We went aside until we were alone
and finally I muttered out the words
I couldn't believe I finally did it
it took months to just get the nerve
When you grabbed my hand
you made it all worth the while
You looked in my eyes
then you gave me that beautiful smile
Now here we stand today
more in love than ever before
All because I finally got the nerve
